Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be heading back to the UK with more royal support than expected. A new report claims King Charles has extended an olive branch by offering the Sussex family accommodation at a royal residence during their upcoming visit next month.
The reported gesture comes amid years of public tension between the Duke of Sussex and the Royal family, as well as Harry’s ongoing concerns about security while traveling in Britain with Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet.

According to The Sun, King Charles has offered Prince Harry and Meghan the use of a royal residence during their July trip to the UK. The publication also reported that security arrangements have been discussed ahead of the family’s first visit together to Britain in four years.
Harry is expected to be in London and Birmingham from July 6 through July 10 for a series of engagements tied to his charitable patronages, including a one-year countdown celebration for the 2027 Invictus Games.
The visit would mark Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s first trip to the UK since 2022. Harry has previously spoken about his concerns regarding safety after losing his legal challenge over taxpayer-funded police protection.
Sources close to the Duke reportedly told The Sun that new conditions surrounding the visit could allow for “a safe return” for the family. The outlet also claimed Harry has built “pockets of downtime” into his schedule in hopes of spending time with his father while in the country.
A source told the publication, “He obviously saw his father in September; they speak regularly and there is a hope they will both be able to find time in their schedules to catch up when Harry is in the UK.”
Meghan is not expected to undertake any independent engagements during the trip and will reportedly attend primarily to support her husband. She has not visited the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.
The visit also carries emotional significance for King Charles, who reportedly has not seen Archie and Lilibet since the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Reports previously claimed Charles described meeting Lilibet for the first time as “very emotional.”
