The photo caught major backlash for hyping up the ‘regular outfit’.

The video showed Kai donning a fitted charcoal gray tank top with a denim skirt with a golden buckle. She accessorized the outfit with a necklace, bracelet, smartwatch, and white sneakers.
Critics jumped in to criticize the look, with one user saying, “Fashion grind, where lol?” with another writing, “Definitely not,” responding to Kai’s fashion claim.
This is not Kai’s first brush with controversy. In May, Kai Trump was granted a restraining order until 2027 against 26-year-old Gabriel Garza Jr. after he reportedly stalked Kai and attempted to get close to her, ahead of her move to college.
Kai has also faced criticism over her KT clothing brand. Critics questioned her decision to film promotional videos and model her clothing on the White House South Lawn and in front of the Lincoln Memorial, noting that both are federal properties. Kai has also been seen swinging golf clubs on White House grounds.
The White House had issued a statement to control the backlash: “There is no prohibition against taking pictures on White House grounds, nor is there a government endorsement of her product, so there is no issue here.”
Swifties have also claimed that Kai’s KT brand graphic is a near-identical copy of the logo used by Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for his Tru Kolors streetwear line collaboration with American Eagle. Earlier, the online community expressed shock at the $130 retail price of KT’s underwhelming clothes.
