Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice Face Internet Criticism After Royal Family Wedding

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie found themselves back in the royal spotlight after attending a major family wedding over the weekend. Their appearance alongside senior members of the Royal Family quickly sparked debate online, with some royal watchers questioning whether the sisters should be stepping into such public events at all.

The daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson reunited with relatives at the wedding of their cousin, Peter Phillips, and Harriet Sperling. While the occasion was meant to be a joyful family celebration, the reaction on social media proved far less festive.

Royal fans have something to say about Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice reuniting with the monarchs amid family scandal

According to Page Six, Beatrice and Eugenie attended the countryside ceremony with their husbands and joined a guest list that included King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Princess Anne, Zara Tindall, and other senior royals.

Photos from the event quickly circulated online, but attention soon shifted away from the wedding itself. Many critics pointed to the continuing fallout surrounding Prince Andrew and his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Although neither Beatrice nor Eugenie has been accused of wrongdoing. However, according to The Blast, some social media users argued that the sisters should maintain a lower profile given the ongoing controversy surrounding their father. A comment read, “Surprised they turned up to the wedding. They should have stayed at home.”

”So they’re back in now? Just waiting until they’re back out next week!” another user wrote.

In recent months, both sisters have taken a somewhat inconsistent approach to public appearances. They attended the royal family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham but later skipped the traditional Easter service at St. George’s Chapel amid renewed scrutiny surrounding Prince Andrew.

That absence led many observers to believe they were intentionally stepping back from public royal events. Their appearance at Peter Phillips’ wedding suggests otherwise.

At the same time, supporters of Beatrice and Eugenie argue that they should not be judged based on their father’s actions. Many royal fans noted that the sisters have largely stayed out of controversy and have built lives outside official royal duties.
