Megan Thee Stallion’s Opponent Fights $75K Payment, Citing Hardship

Megan Thee Stallion won a $75,000 defamation judgment against blogger Milagro “Gramz” Cooper, an ally of Tory Lanez, in December 2025.

Milagro has now asked the court to pause the payment, claiming tight funds as an independent content creator with a fluctuating income and two minor children to support.

In July 2020, Megan Thee Stallion and rapper Tory Lanez exited from a Kylie Jenner party and entered the car. A heated argument ensued, causing Megan to step out of the car, and Lanez shot her feet.

Megan did not reveal details of the incident first, saying that her injuries were from stepping on glass. Later, she was incessantly attacked by Milagro “Gramz” Cooper, who was reportedly hired by the Lanez family to destroy her reputation. Cooper alleged that Megan was lying about being shot by Lanez, spread conspiracy theories, and produced deepfake videos accusing the rapper of faking her injuries. Rolling Stone commented: “A judge found Gramz was ‘commissioned’ by Tory Lanez’s family to brand Megan a liar.”

In December 2022, the jury found Lanez guilty of assault and illegally owning a firearm, and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023. Megan filed a defamation suit in 2024, demanding compensation for the attempted disruption of her reputation and career. A Miami jury found Gramz liable on three counts and asked that $75,000 be paid to the plaintiff.

Milagro responded to the verdict, saying, “I am not ecstatic, of course… but I respect the jury and what they decided. I think I made out pretty good. God is good through and through.” Milagro has appealed to the court that “Forcing immediate payment would cause irreparable financial hardship.”

After winning the defamation case, Megan asserted, “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life.”
