Ubisoft Is Opening An Amusement Park In Montreal

Ubisoft recently announced its plans to open a theme park in the West Island of Montreal this coming August.

According to reports, the space will occupy 1400 square metres and will draw inspiration from the popular Rabbids franchise, the brainchild of developer Ubisoft. It will be geared toward children 12 years old and under. “Rabbids are very wacky, (there’ll be) lots of action going on,” said Ubisoft Canada managing director Olivier Ernst to The Canadian Press. “And at the same time very, very funny. So it’s a perfect environment for the family to spend a couple of hours.”

They also have plans to open more theme parks that are similar to the Montreal one, an announcement they made at the end of last year – another park is scheduled to open in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the next four years, complete with entertainment, rides, and other attractions built around Ubisoft’s games.

The offices in Montreal are Ubisoft’s biggest, employing more than 3,000 employees.
