Leonardo DiCaprio’s acclaimed story is coming back with a twist. The Wolf of Wall Street story will arrive on Paramount+. Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated movie came out more than a decade ago.
According to Deadline, an upcoming documentary TV series, The Real Wolf of Wall Street, will be released on Paramount+. BBC and Stan have acquired the three-part show for the U.K. and Australia, from Hat Trick International. The docuseries initially premiered at MIPCOM Cannes last month.
The Real Wolf of Wall Street follows broker Jordan Belfort, whom DiCaprio portrayed in Scorsese’s 2013 comedy drama.
Inside the real Jordan Belfort story behind Leonardo DiCaprio’s hit movie
After DiCaprio’s iteration of Jordan Belfort, viewers will see the real events about the notorious New York stockbroker. To present an accurate depiction of Belfort, the documentary features unreleased footage, internal FBI documents, and archival interviews. The documentary also includes interactions from Belfort’s ex-wife, Nadine, who inspired Margot Robbie’s character in The Wolf of Wall Street.

The upcoming TV series shows how Belfort witnessed huge success in the 1990s while leading a team of brokers at Stratton Oakmont. However, he was eventually found guilty on charges of fraud and stock market manipulation. He was jailed for almost two years. He later became an FBI informant and provided evidence against others involved in his scheme.
“We all love a great behind-the-scenes story, and The Wolf of Wall Street was such a huge cultural hit that we think we all feel we know this story,” said Sarah Tong, Director of Sales at Hat Trick International. “But this series gives us something completely different: The real people who were there, telling us for the first time what actually happened.”
The Real Wolf of Wall Street has yet to receive an official release date on Paramount+.
