Eric Bauza’s long-awaited debut will bring two new characters to Springfield
What makes Eric Bauza’s The Simpsons debut special is that he will voice restaurateur Mr. Fong and newspaper editor Harry Metsali. Cesar Mazariegos, co-executive producer of the show, revealed the late actor’s dual roles.
“Everything people have said about Eric, before and after his untimely passing, is absolutely true,” said Mazariegos while admiring Bauza. “He was so funny, kind, creative, and just immensely talented. We reached out to him to play two New-Yorky characters for our Dream Scenari-Moe episode, and he knocked it out of the park.”

Mazariegos also recalled that Bauza signed the show’s “Wall of Fame and drew an amazingly rendered Bugs Bunny on it. That’s how we found out he started as an animator!” The voice actor recorded two sessions for his performance in The Simpsons.
Before The Simpsons, Bauza appeared in multiple projects this year, including Coyote vs. Acme. He played different characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, Porky Pig, Road Runner, and more. He also voiced a character in Illumination’s hit Minions & Monsters movie.
Bauza had over 400 acting credits in other popular projects, including Chowder, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Ben 10: Omniverse, Chibiverse, Forgotten Island, Avatar: Seven Havens, and more.
