Katie Maloney has made a surprising admission, pointing out the celebrity she had the most difficulty with during filming “Vanderpump Rules”. Maloney said that she had a challenging time with Lisa Vanderpump. The reality star reflected on the topic on the Disrespectfully podcast. She explained that scenes with her former boss made her nervous.
Katie Maloney’s answer puts Lisa Vanderpump in the spotlight
According to Entertainment Now, the topic was broached in the show, where she had former Vanderpump Rules star Dayna Kathan appeared. One listener asked Maloney to name her least favorite cast member on the Bravo reality series.
Kathan insisted that Maloney did not have to answer the question. Maloney, however, chose to share her experience. “For reasons you probably don’t know, but like, it was sometimes really hard to film with Lisa [Vanderpump],” Maloney revealed.
She described shooting with Lisa as “challenging”. Maloney also revealed that she has made her uncomfortable for years. “For a long time she made me really, really nervous,” she explained.
Maloney said that conversations with Lisa often turned awkward. This occurred mostly when cast members were supposed to relate their life updates.
“We got to tell her what’s been going on in our lives, and she would just be like, ‘Why are you telling me this?’” Maloney said. “And all of a sudden, you feel crazy, because why am I telling you this?”
She added, “Not for reasons people would assume, but I remember, like, ‘God, oh man, I got to film with Lisa.’ It’s hard. It didn’t come as natural.”
Maloney said that she was more comfortable filming with other cast members, especially those she had befriended during SUR. She also noted that filming with Lala Kent and Kristen Doute could be difficult too. According to her, they were “tough competitors” who could be tricky to handle when they were not getting along.
The reality star confirmed that she wouldn’t choose to film with any of her co-stars today. Maloney remains in touch with her business partner Ariana Madix through their sandwich shop, “Something About Her”. She has also reconnected with Stassi Schroeder while filming for “House of Stassi”.
