Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Drama Gets Messier as Film Crew Speaks Out in New Doc

A new documentary about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal dispute presents a different account of the alleged tensions on the set of It Ends With Us. Several crew members reportedly told filmmaker Andy Signore they never witnessed the toxic working environment Lively described in her lawsuit, while Signore questioned the motives behind the legal battle.

Signore’s docuseries, It Ends With Justice, features interviews with people who worked on the 2024 film. According to him, the crew members described disagreements as differences in working styles rather than widespread misconduct or harassment.

Signore told NewsNation’s Paula Froelich, “None of them saw that toxic, combative thing.” He went on to say, “All the crew members were surprised when the lawsuit dropped.”

He added that many crew members spoke positively about Baldoni, while their views of Lively were more neutral. “Most of the crew felt very positive about Justin, very positive about Justin and kind of neutral and different toward Blake,” he said. Signore also said it was difficult to find people willing to defend Lively publicly. “I really, really tried,” he said. “It was hard to find people willing to go on record to defend her.”

The documentary revisits Lively’s allegations about a childbirth scene. It also examines the film’s domestic violence scenes. Signore alleged that editor Jacqueline’s work was well received before Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, sought changes.

Signore also questioned the motives behind Lively’s legal action, claiming it was an attempt to damage Baldoni’s reputation. “I think this was all a PR play for them,” he said, according to Complex. “No, this was always a smear campaign against Justin.”

Blake Lively has maintained that Baldoni and his associates retaliated against her after she raised concerns about alleged misconduct during production. Baldoni denied wrongdoing and filed a $400 million countersuit, which a federal judge dismissed.

The dispute ended in a settlement in May, shortly before trial. However, Lively later sought more than $8 million in attorneys’ fees related to Baldoni’s dismissed countersuit.

Signore said he invited both legal teams to participate in the documentary. Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, agreed, but Lively’s representatives did not participate.
