Tyler Cameron Explains Awkward ‘DWTS’ Walk-Off After Judges’ Scores

Tyler Cameron rose to fame as a reality TV personality. He became a fan favorite and runner-up on Season 15 of ABC’s The Bachelorette. Following his elimination, Cameron addressed the incident in a TikTok video. He explained that he had been disappointed in himself and needed a moment to process the judges’ feedback.

According to Just Jared, Cameron said, “This has been a once-in-a-lifetime, incredible experience. I mean it from my heart, I am so grateful for everything.”

“I also want to say, too, y’all saw a real human moment out of me. Not my proudest moment, when I was upstairs getting my scores. I thought we were done filming, and needed to step away from it all. I was disappointed in myself,” he added.

Cameron admitted that the week “was boom or bust” in terms of his scores. He continued, “we needed to have a great score or we were out of this competition.”

“And it was bust. In my head, I felt like I let myself down. More importantly, I felt like I let Sharna down,” he concluded.

Cameron and his professional dance partner, Sharna Burgess, were eliminated from the competition that night. The episode featured a double elimination because no contestants had been sent home the previous week. Baseball player and social media personality Jackson Olson and his professional partner, Emma Slater, were also eliminated.

During Horror Movie Night, Cameron and Burgess performed a Viennese waltz inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The judges gave them 26 out of 40 points, including three 7s and one 5.
