Sosie Bacon is the latest addition to a GOT star’s highly anticipated horror TV show. The daughter of Kevin Bacon, she joins the MGM+ series The Black Tapes, continuing her winning streak after her Smile fame.
According to the latest updates from MGM+, Bacon has been cast as Alex Regan, a brilliant, methodical physicist. Alex joins The Black Tapes investigations as a debunker, but she quickly realizes that her rigid scientific training means she can’t ignore the mounting evidence that these mysteries involve something beyond the natural world.
Bacon is the latest addition to the eight-episode supernatural horror investigation series, which is based on the popular horror podcast of the same name created by Terry Miles and Paul Bae. She will star opposite Emmy Award-nominee and Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Dr. Richard Strand, a brilliant psychiatrist with a mysterious past.
Following her Smile fame, Bacon is next to star in her family’s horror-comedy film, Family Movie, on the big screen. After its premiere earlier this year at SXSW, the movie is scheduled to hit the theaters in North America on April 23, 2027, through Variance Films. Bacon also recently wrapped shooting on the second season of Scarpetta for Amazon. She is repped by Gersh, Range Media Partners, and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham.
