Page Six confirmed that Schumer, 45, and Fischer, 46, have settled their divorce proceedings. A September 25 report revealed that the former couple had submitted a proposed divorce judgment to the court. The court also processed orders concerning support for their seven-year-old son, Gene.
The “Trainwreck” star filed for divorce in January 2026. She confirmed their separation one month later. The comedian and the chef married in February 2018 and welcomed their son in 2019.
Schumer announced their split in a December 2025 Instagram post, emphasizing that they intended to remain on amicable terms. “Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” she wrote. “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son.”
Schumer also requested privacy as they navigated their separation.
“Blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag a basket and not because he’s a hot Janlmes beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail. Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever,” she added in a follow-up post.
She also dismissed speculation that her weight loss had contributed to the breakup. The comedian had previously addressed speculation about their marriage in November 2025. In November 2025, Schumer wrote that whatever happened in her marriage had “nothing to do with weight loss or autism.”
After months of separation and divorce proceedings, the court’s latest update confirms that their marriage has legally ended. An insider previously told the Daily Mail that the couple’s separation had been “a long time coming.”
