The hosting opportunity marks another major step in Druski’s career. He rose to prominence through character-driven comedy sketches on social media and has since expanded into television and live events. According to TVLine, he will become the first digital content creator to host SNL in its 52-season history.
Druski also hosted the 2026 BET Awards in June, further expanding his presence in mainstream entertainment.
Drake and Druski’s friendship previously made headlines when the rapper supported the comedian during his feud with Kendrick Lamar. Speaking to GQ, Druski explained why the controversy had not affected their friendship.
“That’s my brother. I don’t care about what’s hot at the moment or what’s going on,” he said. “I’m just big on loyalty. I just supported a friend throughout that whole endeavor,” he added.
Their friendship goes back several years. In 2020, Druski appeared in Drake’s music video for “Laugh Now Cry Later,” featuring Lil Durk.
Druski’s SNL debut will give him another major platform as he continues to expand his career beyond social media comedy.
