Prince William reportedly has no intention of repairing his relationship with Prince Harry, despite his younger brother’s recent call for reconciliation. Sources close to the Prince of Wales say Harry’s public comments about the royal family have “deeply hurt” William, who remains focused on his royal duties rather than revisiting their long-running family dispute.

According to a source close to Prince William, the future king cannot currently imagine rebuilding his relationship with Prince Harry after years of tension and public criticism. “There isn’t a world right now where the Prince of Wales can imagine repairing the relationship with his brother,” the source said to the Mirror. They added that William remains “deeply hurt” about the things Harry has said publicly about him and other members of the royal family.
The source also said William and Kate Middleton have more important duties than responding to Harry’s latest interviews. Their schedule includes a major state visit, events marking the 60th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster and preparations for upcoming royal tours. “This is what matters to the Prince and Princess of Wales, and the King and Queen,” the source said, adding that they do not need to respond to every interview the Duke gives.
Harry recently discussed his strained family relationships in an interview with GQ, recorded in late September and released on the same day senior royals welcomed the Sultan of Oman to Windsor Castle. Harry said he felt “optimistic” about returning to the U.K. but admitted that his relationships with King Charles III and William had taken an emotional toll. When asked if he was grieving over these relationships, he replied, “Yes, of course.”
He called family conflict a “massively relatable issue” and said he wanted to repair their relationships. “Some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out,” Harry said. “With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile – that’s the key point.”
