Four iconic stars, including Tony Hawk, have reportedly joined a hilarious NBC TV show. The popular comedy series St. Denis Medical has added some serious star power to its Season 3 cast with some guest appearances.
As reported by The Wrap, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk will guest-star in the medical comedy. He will play Kyle, an amateur skateboarder who returns to St. Denis after sustaining another injury. Euphoria actress Martha Kelly will also appear in a guest role as Gail, the hospital’s in-house counsel guiding the doctors through a lawsuit.
Comedian Jon Barinholtz will also guest-star this season as Alan, a caring father of a young boy with hearing loss who tries his best to keep his spirits up while his mom receives care. Jon Barinholtz’s real-life son, Dezi, will play the boy.
Lastly, they will all star alongside Jimmy Smits, who plays Javier in this installment. Javier, a charming professional visiting the hospital, immediately hits it off with Joyce Henderson, played by Wendi McLendon-Covey. This development follows the Season 2 finale, in which Ron, played by David Alan Grier, accidentally admitted his feelings for Joyce while under anesthesia.
Season 3 will bring back Ariana Madix as heart surgeon Dr. Brooke Emerson. Damon Wayans will guest-star as a new doctor in the season premiere.
What are Tony Hawk’s other professional acting credits?
Over the years, Hawk has acquired significant professional acting credits for himself in a wide range of feature films, television shows, and voice-acting roles. In his projects, he either frequently plays himself or a skateboarder, alongside distinct scripted characters.
His notable onscreen credits include his skateboarding performances in a fat suit and navigating obstacle courses in the Jackass Series (2002-2022), and his early cameo and skating appearances in cult classics like Thrashin’ (1986), Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol (1987), and Gleaming the Cube (1989).
He also played one of Xander Cage’s stuntman friends in xXx (2002), a rookie astronaut in Lords of Dogtown (2005), a skateboarder in Gleaming the Cube (1989), himself in Parental Guidance (2012), and The Hawk in Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017).
