He shared the reason behind his decision to enroll Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in British education. The Sussex children are now attending a private prep school in the UK following the family’s move from California.
Prince Harry reveals why he decided to send his kids to a British school
In his revealing new interview for GQ‘s “One More Question” series, Prince Harry opened up about what drew him to British education for his kids.
The young royals left their first UK school over security concerns. Prince Harry, however, shared that the siblings have now settled into a new school and are “loving” it. He also addressed what prompted the family to move back to Britain and educate Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet there.
The 42-year-old revealed, “Opportunities for the family. Being able to put the kids in a British school has meant a lot to me. I didn’t know how important it was to me. I always thought it was going to be something that we would try and do, but now they’ve been in school for two weeks.”
He noted that they are really enjoying it, as it offers them a completely different experience.
Prince Harry then weighed in on why the Sussex children are now attending a school in the UK. He explained, “But I think for kids at seven and five, to be able to have that comparison and to have two completely different cultural experiences is so important today. But yeah: To be back closer to my family and to be back on UK soil for longer than a few days or a week here or there. It’s nice to be back.”
The interview also saw the non-working royal discuss his desire for his kids to experience where he grew up. He spoke about wanting them to have the same positive experiences he had growing up, which took a lot of careful thought. In the end, the family felt the moment was right to go ahead.
