Dylan Sprouse reveals shocking family discovery on Wildmen podcast
While appearing on the Wildmen Podcast, Dylan revealed that he had “found out something weird” about his family history. The discovery followed an ancestry test and further research into his family tree. Dylan said branches of both sides of his family lived in California and intermarried in the late 1800s. Dylan said the family branched, “diverged and then they married again [through] my mom and my dad, like, last generation.”
Dylan said he became suspicious after learning that his paternal uncles were identical twins. “Now, I had only ever thought that identical twins or twins in general had come from my mom’s side of the family, which we have seven sets of twins in four generations, which is crazy,” he said. “It’s a lot of twins. And the reason we have a lot of twins is that it’s the same family.”
The actor said that upon learning this, he called his brother to share the news. According to Dylan, Cole replied, “Not looking at that. I mean, long story short, Cole and I are children of incest,” Dylan jokingly concluded.
On Instagram, Cole Sprouse followed up the initial reaction with another post. In it, he wrote, “It’s that time of year again where I get tagged in Victoria’s Secret content cause people still don’t know who married Barbara [Palvin].”
Dylan and Cole Sprouse are known for playing Zack and Cody Martin on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Cole’s recent film credits include The Long Haul and The Rivals of Amziah King.
