Royal biographer Hugo Vickers said, “I don’t think William is doing anything actively hostile.” Instead, Page Six said multiple sources described his earlier anger as having “dissipated and turned to apathy.” A palace source then said, “William doesn’t want anything to do with Harry.” The insider added, “he has a stony mindset when he puts his mind to something.” For context, the brothers reportedly have not seen each other since 2022.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry publicly described the feud as something he wanted to repair. During GQ’s One More Question, he called family estrangement “a massively relatable issue for so many people.” When asked whether he wanted things resolved, Harry answered, “I want it to work out.” More directly, he called reconciliation “the most important thing” and added that this was the key point, noting that emotional scars can last forever while encouraging people to move beyond the past.
However, that plea for peace did not appear to change William’s reported stance. Vickers compared his approach to Queen Elizabeth II keeping the Duke of Windsor “at arm’s length.” Meanwhile, Page Six tied the distance to Harry’s royal exit, Netflix documentary, and 2023 memoir “Spare.”
Those disclosures had once fueled anger, but sources now described apathy instead. Still, Harry said “there’s enough drama in the world” to continue family disputes indefinitely.
