Angry Birds 3 seemingly turns Kelly Clarkson’s viral dispute into a promotional joke

The upcoming Angry Birds 3 movie appears to be having some fun with Kelly Clarkson’s viral bird controversy. On October 16, Pop Base shared a poster featuring Chuck from the animated franchise in place of a mechanical bird. The display reads, “Angry Bird Chuck,” followed by “One bird for the price of a movie ticket.”

The poster also features a crossed-out $15,000 price tag, seemingly referencing Clarkson’s recent disagreement with Brooklyn store Art of Play. According to The Blast, the promotional artwork quickly attracted attention, with fans appreciating the unexpected connection to the singer’s controversy.

One social media user commented, “Angry Birds 3 is already coming with the drama and the shade. The Kelly Clarkson reference is WILD”. Another joked, “Kelly’s never living that bird down now.”

The joke comes after Clarkson publicly criticized Art of Play over her attempt to purchase a mechanical bird named Molly. She claimed the store treated her dismissively, comparing her experience to Julia Roberts’ character in Pretty Woman. However, the business maintained that Molly was not for sale.

The disagreement soon escalated. The store’s owner, Adam Rubin, reportedly raised the bird’s price to $15 million amid the growing attention. Clarkson also challenged the store’s explanation of their encounter.

Meanwhile, Angry Birds 3 is scheduled for release on December 23, 2026. The latest poster has turned Clarkson’s much-discussed shopping dispute into another pop culture moment, with fans enjoying the film’s playful take on the viral feud.
