Battle Ground Academy Wildcats were playing a high school football game against Pope John Paul II Preparatory School when Bo Bryan suffered the injury. According to USA Today’s coverage, Luke Bryan’s son Bo broke his collarbone.
The high school football QB shared an update about his injury on Instagram Saturday. He also thanked everyone for their “thoughts and prayers.” Speaking to The Tennessean, he recalled initially thinking he had suffered only a stinger, a minor neck or shoulder injury that causes a sharp tingling sensation. However, after leaving the field, he “really realized something was wrong.”
According to local media reports, Bo has enjoyed an impressive football career so far. During his first full season as the team’s starting quarterback, he has led the team to a 6-1 record, with six wins and one loss.
Amid his son’s impressive season, Luke Bryan has openly expressed his love for Bo and spoken about being his son’s “No. 1 fan.” In September, the singer said, “I’m super impressed. This being against a big rival during his senior year, he’s learning as he goes.”
Bo Bryan has played high school football for Battle Ground Academy (BGA) in Tennessee since 2023, when he was a freshman. He spent his first three seasons, from 2023 to 2025, as a backup before becoming the team’s full-time starter in 2026. In his first varsity start of the 2026 season, Luke Bryan’s son delivered an impressive performance, throwing for 375 yards and three touchdowns. His performance drew attention across the United States.
