Bond Girl Léa Seydoux’s Intense International Movie Is Headed to Netflix Very Soon

No Time to Die star Léa Seydoux‘s recent movie, Gentle Monster, will soon be available to stream on Netflix. Marie Kreutzer wrote and directed the film, and it premiered in May 2026 at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.

Gentle Monster is coming to Netflix next month

According to a report by What’s On Netflix, Léa Seydoux’s latest movie, Gentle Monster, will be released on Netflix on November 18, 2026.

Alongside Seydoux, the film’s cast includes Jella Haase, Laurence Rupp, Catherine Deneuve, and Sylvester Groth. It had a limited release in US theaters on October 30 and screened at Cannes in May 2026. In its international release, the movie made $9,346, as per Box Office Mojo.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has received an average score of 64 percent on the Tomatometer based on reviews from critics. On Metacritic, Gentle Monster received a “Generally Favorable” score of 71 based on 14 reviews. Praise for the movie largely revolves around Seydoux’s central performance and calls her the main highlight. Critics also praised the film for how it tackles its sensitive subject matter.

The description of the story given by the film’s trailer on YouTube reads, “After moving to the countryside, Lucy hopes for a fresh start with her family — but a police visit and her husband’s dark secret shatter her world.”

Speaking about the film in September, Seydoux told The Wrap that she worried she wouldn’t get the role after struggling to get on a call with the director. She said, “I was like, she will never hire me for this movie because I’m always postponing the call.” However, she also said that the call ended up being “very relaxed,” and added that she was “surprised because sometimes directors can be nervous because your movie is a baby that you cherish.”
