Jacob Elordi made it clear that not every celebrity encounter deserved a photograph. Even amid growing interest in his romance with Kendall Jenner. The actor pushed back against a photographer who approached his car while he was out driving with his dogs.
The exchange offered another glimpse into Elordi’s complicated relationship with fame. It also followed a tense Paris outing with Jenner, where the couple asked photographers to stop crowding them.
Jacob Elordi tells photographer he won’t pose for pictures while driving with his dogs
Audio shared by Deuxmoi on Instagram captured Elordi refusing to leave his car for pictures. “Well, there’s no point in doing this. I’m not going to get out of the car. You are not going to get a photo of me,” he said.
The Euphoria star explained that he was simply spending time with his dogs. “I’m not with my girlfriend. I’m driving with my dogs, like it’s just not the day,” he added. When the photographer requested a couple of shots, Elordi replied, “No, because it’s not my thing. It’s not me. You’ve got the wrong one.”
He also suggested the photographer seek out celebrities willing to cooperate. Elordi said he intended to spend his life resisting unwanted photographs, adding, “So there’s people that you can go and get and make your cash, but I’m just not the one.”
The Jacob Elordi photographer confrontation followed footage from Paris on Sept. 28. Page Six reported that he asked photographers to let him and Jenner walk back to their hotel peacefully. “No flash, just let us walk. Just let us go,” he pleaded while holding Jenner’s hand. She covered her face as he shielded himself from the flashes.
Online reactions split between critics who noted Jenner’s lifelong familiarity with paparazzi and supporters who defended the couple’s boundaries.
Jenner had previously told Vogue Australia in 2019 that relationships were “special and very sacred.” She added, “Bringing things into the public makes everything so much messier.” The model had also dated Bad Bunny and Devin Booker while keeping much of her personal life private.
Elordi’s discomfort extended beyond photographers. Page Six reported that he told a fan in Japan, “Don’t touch me, bro,” after they touched him. In February, he told CBS Mornings, “My dream was to be an actor,” explaining that he had achieved what he wanted from fame.
