Donald Trump Brings Up Taylor Swift at Rally to Boast About TikTok Ranking

Donald Trump brought Taylor Swift into his speech at a recent Arizona rally while discussing his popularity on social media. The president claimed to hold a higher position than the pop star on TikTok, using their reported rankings to make his point. His remarks came as he addressed supporters ahead of the November midterm elections.

Donald Trump tells Arizona rallygoers he ranks No. 1 while Taylor Swift is No. 19

President Donald Trump brought Taylor Swift into his remarks at a rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, while discussing his popularity on TikTok. Speaking at Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport ahead of the November midterm elections, Trump told the audience that he ranked first on the platform, while the singer occupied the 19th position.

Trump told the crowd that he had made $72 million on TikTok before discussing the platform’s rankings. As reported by The Mirror, he asked, “You know who’s number one on TikTok is?” He then answered, “Trump. Remember? Trump,” before declaring, “I’m number one.”

The president continued to draw a comparison with Swift, saying, “Can you believe it? Taylor Swift is 19. I’m number one.” He went on to say, “Can you believe it? They just sent out the ratings! I’m on number one TikTok, and all I say are good things about us. I don’t say bad things!” However, Swift has a substantial following on the platform, with approximately 33.5 million followers on her TikTok account.

The Arizona rally was not the first occasion on which Trump had made such a claim. During a White House press conference earlier this year, he also spoke about his position on TikTok and Swift’s ranking. “It was announced about two days ago. The new numbers just came out. You know who the No. 1 person on TikTok is by far? Trump, me. I’m No. 1. Like, Taylor Swift was number 11. I’m No. 1 on TikTok by far,” he said. Trump’s remarks at the Arizona rally came as Republicans prepared for the November midterm elections.
