Brian Austin Green has revealed his recent absence from DWTS as his fiancée, Sharna Burgess, competes in Season 35. The explanation follows criticism he received after his admission that he feels lonely while Burgess, who returned to DWTS for the first time since 2021, is busy with the show.

Green opened up about the situation in an October 12 interview with Us Weekly, saying, “I was there a lot in the beginning.” However, “[Production] has cracked down a little bit on young kids being there,” said the father of five, referring to his and Burgess’ four-year-old son, along with the three children he shares with ex-partner Megan Fox.
“I can’t be there with Zane and the kids. So we have found a time when it works where they can be home with someone, and I can go. I’m always there, whether I’m sitting in the audience or I’m sitting at home watching. I’m always rooting for [Sharna]. So we figure out from episode to episode what works,” he explained further.
Green, who competed on Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars, opened up about adjusting to Burgess’ return as a professional dancer to the reality dance competition series where she has been partnered up with The Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron. He noted, “The Dancing with the Stars schedule is a pretty packed one.”
According to Green, Burgess’ demanding Dancing with the Stars schedule has changed their usual routine. He acknowledged that adjusting to spending less time with her has been a process. He admitted that it has taken some getting used to but said things are “going OK.” He added that the next month and a half would be particularly hectic if she made it to the finale.
