Ari Emanuel has again been asked about his former managerial role in Meghan Markle’s life, and his answers did not convince journalist Megyn Kelly. The WME executive chairman sat down with Kelly to explain why he stepped away from personally managing the Duchess of Sussex. While his replies were polite but light on detail, Kelly eventually told him he was “full of it.”

The host of The Megyn Kelly Show began by citing Ari Emanuel’s earlier remark that he no longer had to think about Meghan Markle. He had been quoted as saying, “Here’s the great thing: I don’t have to think about that anymore.”
Asked why, Emanuel said that he has “a busy life. She is finding her voice. I’m happy for her.” He added that he had started a new company, runs TKO Group Holdings, and still has clients. Colleagues at the agency, he said, could meet Markle’s needs, and he did not want her “occupying [his] brain.”
Kelly pushed further. “You did represent her and then somehow you didn’t, and clearly you made that decision,” she said. Emanuel replied that he “had to shift [his] focus to other things that were a priority for [him].”
He likened the move to raising his four children, saying he did not want to be a “helicopter parent.” Kelly suggested things did not seem to be going well for Meghan, but Emanuel countered that she was “actually getting booked” and was busy. He pointed to reality and TV projects, though he admitted, “I don’t know about it.” Kelly’s response was, “You are so full of it.”
Later, during a quick-fire round, Emanuel said that in his life he will no longer “deal with a diva.” Kelly quipped that this explained what happened with Meghan Markle. However, he did not name anyone when asked who the biggest diva was.
Emanuel signed Meghan in 2023, and the pair parted ways last year. WME still represents her. Reactions to the exchange followed on X. One user wrote, “I don’t know this guy but he is so full of bs. Even of you didn’t know it was Meghan Markle he was talking about, it’s so obvious he didn’t want anything to do with her – painfully obvious.”
