Chris Brown and Usher have canceled four upcoming concerts on their massive R&B Tour. The announcement follows a successful run of stadium performances across North America. However, the decision comes shortly before Brown’s upcoming court date in London.
Chris Brown and Usher cite “health and well-being” as reason for canceling four shows
Tour organizers announced the cancellations on Friday, October 9, according to Complex. The affected performances were scheduled across four cities later this month. A statement attributed the decision to the demands of the extensive tour.
“Following an extensive run of sold-out stadium shows on one of the year’s biggest tours,” organizers explained. They said the promoter had made a difficult decision about the upcoming dates. The cancellations were intended “to prioritize the health and well-being of the touring party and crew.”
The statement also addressed the pressures of maintaining such a large production. “The demands of a tour of this length and scale are significant,” organizers said. They added that the changes would help the tour continue safely and sustainably.
The canceled October 2026 concerts include Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium on October 17 and Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium on October 24. The Columbia, South Carolina, performance at Williams-Brice Stadium on October 29 was also canceled.
The fourth canceled show was scheduled for Indianapolis on Halloween. The artists will no longer perform at Lucas Oil Stadium on October 31. Ticket holders were reportedly notified of the changes by email.
The announcement comes ahead of Brown’s October 26 court appearance in the United Kingdom. He pleaded guilty to a lesser affray charge in July in connection with a 2023 London nightclub incident. The assault and grievous bodily harm charges were dropped following that plea.
Brown faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison for the offense. However, the tour announcement did not connect the cancellations to his legal proceedings. Organizers instead cited the health and well-being of the touring party and crew. Fans are awaiting further information about the affected tickets and any potential updates.
