‘Big Brother’ Reportedly Eyeing Two Big Changes for Season 30 — Source

Big Brother Season 30 could look very different from the seasons leading up to it.

According to an insider close to the CBS series, producers are considering an all-star cast and a larger grand prize for the milestone season. The source said the show wants to make Season 30 its biggest edition yet.

Big Brother Season 30 could feature returning all-stars and a $1 million grand prize, according to insider reports

The insider claimed producers want to fill Big Brother Season 30 with some of the franchise’s most recognizable former Houseguests.

“It will be an all-star season with some of the most iconic vets of the game,” the source said.

The reported plan would mark a major change from Season 29.

According to the insider, Season 29 will mainly feature new contestants. Producers could still bring back one veteran to shake things up, but the cast is expected to focus on newcomers.

Season 30, however, could become a full celebration of Big Brother history.

The source also claimed CBS wants to increase the budget and raise the winner’s prize to $1 million.

“They want it to be the biggest season of Big Brother yet,” the insider said.

The reported approach follows what CBS recently did with Survivor 50. That season brought back 24 returning players and featured a much larger prize.

Survivor 50 doubled its usual $1 million award to $2 million.

The crossover between the two franchises also continued with Rick Devens.

After previously competing on Survivor, Rick joined Big Brother 28 as one of the season’s “Icons.” Angela Murray and Survivor 45 winner Dee Valladares also joined as returning reality TV names.

As per The U.S. Sun, Rick ultimately won Big Brother 28 after defeating Taylor Brown in a 6-1 jury vote.

He earned the $750,000 grand prize. He also received $50,000 as America’s Favorite Houseguest and another $10,000 through the Pharaoh’s Curse twist.

The source said CBS now wants Big Brother Season 30, expected in 2028, to go even bigger.

However, the reported all-star cast and $1 million prize remain insider claims. The supplied source did not say CBS had formally announced either plan.
