Donald Trump Goes on Posting Spree as Rally Crowd Questions Mount

Donald Trump shared a flurry of posts on Truth Social as questions continued over attendance at his recent campaign events. The president shared videos and supportive messages portraying his rallies as energetic and well attended. The posts came after several reports highlighted empty seats at recent Trump events ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Trump praised his campaign events in a Truth Social post, calling the rallies “legendary.” He also claimed they had made a major difference in Republican enthusiasm ahead of the November elections.

According to The Daily Beast, Trump shared at least seven posts and several videos praising his rallies. He also amplified messages from supporters who argued that enthusiasm around his campaign remained strong.

One video showed supporters chanting “USA” at a Texas rally. Trump also reposted messages from several pro-Trump accounts that praised his political influence and crowd energy.

However, the posts came amid continued scrutiny of Trump’s rally attendance. Mandatory previously covered reports of empty seats at his Ohio rally, where Trump insisted the venue was “totally MAXED OUT.” He also said people in the upper sections had moved toward the floor.

That report noted that The New York Times and NBC News described vacant areas in the upper seating. Still, no official attendance count established how many people entered the venue or how many remained outside.

Separately, a Daily Beast/PunchUp analysis estimated that about 8,000 people attended Trump’s October event in Mobile, Alabama. His 2015 appearance in the city drew roughly 30,000 people, although the two rallies took place at different venues. The outlet also cited footage showing empty seats at a San Antonio event.

Trump and Republican officials rejected the suggestion that enthusiasm has weakened. RNC spokesperson Natalie Baldassarre said the rallies are working and accused the media of downplaying Republican enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, Trump continues his rally schedule as Republicans campaign ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections.
