Prince Harry Was ‘Crushed’ After Allegedly Being Booed at Rugby Match — Source

Prince Harry was heartbroken upon learning that he was booed at a recent rugby match. The Duke of Sussex made an appearance at an exciting rugby contest at Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium between Leicester Tigers and Gloucester Rugby.

Harry attended the rugby match with his cousin George McCorquodale from his mother’s side. At one point, when the prince was shown on the giant jumbotron, the crowd seemingly booed him. The commentators tried to downplay the situation, and the cameras cut away to something else.

Prince Harry did not realize some spectators had booed until after the Leicester match

Prince Harry was reportedly deeply hurt upon learning that the audience booed him at the recent Leicester rugby match. According to Rob Shuter, he was left in tears when he learnt that the crowd mocked and jeered at him when the cameras showed him on the jumbotron.

Sources attached to Shuter revealed that the Duke of Sussex had no idea what the reaction was about. He did not hear the taunts and was genuinely enjoying the match. Instead, Harry thought everybody was cheering for him and was happy to see him. “It wasn’t until afterward that the reality hit. He was absolutely crushed,” the source added.

Harry was reportedly shattered because he had returned to the UK with Meghan Markle and their children, hoping to repair his broken relationship with Britain. The Duke of Sussex “genuinely believes” that the people of his country still love and care for him.

He is aware that his relationship with the Royal Family is broken. However, Harry did not expect the British people to react so negatively upon seeing him. “Finding out they were booing was devastating,” he added.

The prince did not expect his own countrymen to turn their backs on him. The source explained that he can handle criticism from the royal household, but this was a tough pill to swallow. “He was fighting back tears. Britain is still home to him,” the source concluded.
