Newly revealed set photos from Adam Sandler’s upcoming comedy sequel tease a wild nude scene featuring the actor alongside nude extras. Filming for Grown Ups 3 reportedly took place at a nudist beach in Sardinia, Italy, on Tuesday.
According to images and a clip shared by TMZ, Sandler was spotted filming a scene while seated in a taxi at a beach filled with nude men and women. The clip also shows an older naked man speaking with the actor. In another moment, Sandler gets up close to an extra’s exposed lap, and cameras capture him bursting into laughter.
Based on the footage, the scene appears to be packed with unconventional humor. Production began in early August in New Jersey, before the crew moved to Italy. Filming overseas marks a departure from the franchise’s 16-year tradition of shooting its previous installments entirely on American soil. Production is expected to wrap in late October.
Who else is starring in Grown Ups 3 besides Adam Sandler?
Sandler will join several familiar faces from the previous films that shaped the franchise. Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider are all reprising their roles. Schneider comes back after sitting out the second film.
Additionally, Maya Rudolph, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Maria Bello return as the wives, while Steve Buscemi rejoins the star-studded ensemble alongside several Happy Madison regulars. The upcoming comedy sequel also welcomes newcomers, with Julie Bowen, Deon Cole, and Bailee Madison joining the cast.
The film’s short description, per Netflix, reads, “Now that their kids are all grown up, the gang is finally free to go on the ultimate adventure.”
Kyle Newacheck, who directed Happy Gilmore 2, helms the sequel. Sandler co-wrote the script with Tim Herlihy. The pair also serve as producers alongside Jackie Sandler and Jack Giarraputo. Netflix plans to release Grown Ups 3 in summer 2027, although an exact release date has yet to be announced.
