Kelly Clarkson stops Orlando concert after fan suffers medical emergency
According to video footage acquired by TMZ, Clarkson was seen keeping an eye on the situation as a crowd gathered around the audience member.
Clarkson did not immediately continue with the show. Instead, she asked the crowd to keep the noise down while the situation was assessed. “I don’t know if making noise is helping this situation,” Clarkson told the crowd, according to TMZ.
She waited until she was reassured that the situation was under control. However, she then asked the fan for a final confirmation. “You good? OK cool,” Clarkson said.
She then signaled to her band that they could continue, telling them, “We’ll pick it up at the second chorus.”
This is not the first time that Clarkson has put her health ahead of the demands of her career. In July 2025, she canceled the opening shows of her Studio Sessions Las Vegas residency after intense rehearsals affected her vocals. Clarkson said she wanted to avoid putting too much pressure on her voice.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” Clarkson wrote at the time. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”
She continued, “The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”
Clarkson resumed the residency the following weekend after giving her voice time to rest.
