Avengers: Doomsday Adds Beloved Oscar Nominee in 5 Other Movies This Year to Cast — Rumor

A high-profile industry database leak may have just spoiled one of Marvel Studios’ most unexpected casting additions.

According to online reports circulating across film fandoms, Oscar-nominated German actress Sandra Hüller is rumored to have joined the massive ensemble cast of Avengers: Doomsday. The speculation surfaced after fans noticed an updated entry on the British Stunt Register, the UK’s official professional record for stunt performers.

On her official profile, stunt performer Stevie Parker listed herself as Hüller’s double for the upcoming Russo Brothers-directed event film.

While Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed Hüller’s involvement, stunt register listings are widely regarded in the industry as reliable indicators of production casting.

How Sandra Hüller’s breakout success changed her career trajectory

Hüller spent the early years of her career rooted in European theater before transitioning to screen work. She earned widespread international acclaim in 2016 for her performance as corporate strategist Ines Conradi in Maren Ade’s comedy-drama Toni Erdmann.

However, it was her historic 2023 dual run that catapulted her to top-tier global stardom. Starring in both Justine Triet’s legal thriller Anatomy of a Fall and Jonathan Glazer’s Holocaust drama The Zone of Interest, Hüller pulled off the rare feat of leading both the Palme d’Or and Grand Prix winners at the Cannes Film Festival in the same year.

Her performance in Anatomy of a Fall earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the 96th Academy Awards, making her the first German actress nominated in that category since 1938.

Since her Oscar breakthrough, Hüller has quickly expanded her footprint across major international projects. She starred alongside Ryan Gosling in the 2026 sci-fi adventure Project Hail Mary as Petrova Taskforce leader Eva Stratt. The film grossed approximately $684.5 million worldwide on a production budget of $200 million. Moreover, she also featured alongside Tom Cruise in director Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s drama Digger.
