Eden Sassoon is already famous for her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she has also attracted plenty of attention for her looks. That attention makes sense because, alongside being a TV star, she is also a beauty entrepreneur. However, recently, the RHOBH alum opened up about a relapse after nearly 10 years of sobriety.
Eden Sassoon reveals what happened after she believed she could drink again
Recently, the RHOBH alum spoke with the Daily Mail, where the TV star opened up about her beauty, surgeries, and other personal experiences. She also talked about alcoholism, revealing what happened after she believed she could drink again.
Sassoon said, “For 9 1/2 years I retained my sobriety. Then, I thought I could drink again, and that this time, it would be different. But I hit rock bottom in April of 2023, while in Las Vegas.” “The difference was, this time I knew who to call and where to go for help, thanks to a 12-step program,” she added.
The 53-year-old, who recently underwent surgery, opened up about her relapse and reinvention. She also explained that she comes from an era where looks mattered and how her family environment shaped her to care about beauty.
She added, “My dad was always striving, creating, and reinventing himself. That was the environment I grew up in, so of course it shaped me.” “And then there’s my mom, Beverly. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. She’s a recovering alcoholic too and now, at 80, she’s working on her own memoir – and trust me, it’s going to be a wild ride.”
Talking about Sassoon, wellness now means the whole person to the TV star: body, mind, and soul.
She was once the owner of a Pilates studio and spent years learning about movement, fitness, and recovery. Today, her priorities have shifted from constantly working hard toward something more meaningful.
