Too $hort addressed the comments he made about Diddy. Too $hort, whose real name is Todd Anthony Shaw, said in an Instagram video, “I was a little insensitive with my words. I said that I didn’t condone what he did to Cassie. But I would go to his party if he came home. I really didn’t know the full extent of the case.”

Shaw added that he was unaware of the broader allegations made by other women. Diddy has faced allegations of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse from multiple women. He said, “I do not condone abuse in any kind of way. Not emotional, not physical, not sexual, and I don’t support anybody that does it.”

Too $hort appeared on the TMZ Podcast earlier this month, where he made remarks about Diddy. He said in the podcast, “I’m going to the Puff Daddy ‘Coming Home’ party when he comes home, if he throws a welcome party. I’m not a judgemental person who feels anything outside of him kicking Cassie on the floor. And just in the manner he did that, he had to go through a lot of remorse when he saw himself do that.”

He added, “he would have never gone to jail if they did not have that video of him treating her.”

Following his comments, the rapper faced backlash. He apologized, saying, “I do not support abuse or abusers.” He also said that he was “sorry for putting those words out there. If anything I said hurt anybody, I really do regret it.”

While referring to his comments, he said he would attend a party the rapper would throw for his friends. He further added to it, “not any party where it’s f*cking baby oil or some godd*mn sexual sh*t.”

Sean Combs is currently serving a federal prison sentence after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His projected release date is January 21, 2028.
