Prince Harry’s relationship dynamic with King Charles reportedly might improve, but not with Prince William. According to a source, the monarch is ready to “make room” for his second son. However, the Prince of Wales allegedly doesn’t intend to reconcile with his brother anytime soon. For those unfamiliar, the sibling feud began after the Sussexes publicly criticized royal family members. They criticized the senior royals in interviews, documentaries, and Harry’s memoir, Spare.
King Charles will meet Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before Christmas, but Prince William won’t, per source
King Charles reportedly might meet Prince Harry, but Prince William would reportedly maintain his distance. A source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that the King and Queen Camilla have set a date to meet Harry and Meghan Markle before Christmas. They claimed the meeting is no small matter, as the monarch green-lit it.
“Nobody drops in on the King. If Harry and Meghan are in Charles’s diary, it is because he wants them there. This is deliberate,” a royal source remarked. According to the source, the important thing is that the king would “make room” for Harry again. Moreover, the Duke of Sussex seemed aware that this olive branch from his father is “significant.”
Meanwhile, William doesn’t seem to be in the same boat, and he reportedly doesn’t want to reconcile with Harry. An insider told the outlet that the Duke “reached out” and attempted to bury the hatchet with his brother, but things didn’t appear to work out, as it was said that William “isn’t responding.”
“There is no meaningful communication with William or Catherine. Charles is willing to move forward. William is not,” the insider added.
On the other hand, an earlier report claimed Markle would possibly want to spend Christmas in California. However, Harry has reportedly dismissed the idea and would likely want to stay in the UK during the holidays. Now, it might be more important as the Sussexes have reportedly been invited to meet Charles and Camilla.
