Slatten shared the old Cameo video on social media on Sunday, October 4. The clip showed one of her earliest Cameo recordings. She said her voice sounded noticeably stronger at the time.
“This is how I used to sounds,” Slatten wrote while introducing the video. She remembered being able to talk “so much better back then.” She also recalled people making fun of how she sounded.
Slatten said her ALS journey had changed her ability to speak. “Today, because of ALS, I can barely talk,” she explained. She added that speaking had become “very difficult for me.”
The reality star also addressed criticism surrounding her husband, Sumit Singh. She said people judged him just as they once judged her. “He is my husband, he loves me,” Slatten wrote.
Slatten also explained Singh’s role during her illness. “He is also my only caregiver,” she said in the post. She added that he helped with her ALS and daily tasks.
The health update also carried a message about outside opinions. Slatten said people “don’t she what happens behind the closed doors.” She encouraged followers to appreciate their lives and relationships.
Slatten reminded fans that circumstances could change unexpectedly. “Nothing stays the same forever,” she wrote. She then added, “Today is the best—we don’t know what tomorrow will bring.”
The post followed earlier updates about Slatten’s worsening condition. A September update said she was “getting weaker by the day.” It also said she hardly spoke because people could not understand her.
The couple had consulted several neurologists and speech therapists, according to their update. Singh had increasingly spoken for Slatten as her primary caregiver. Their latest message showed how ALS had changed their everyday lives.
