A planned film about Princess Diana is reportedly stirring fresh tension within the royal family. According to one insider, Prince William is uneasy about what Prince Harry‘s film on Diana might reveal. The reported concern is that the project could expose even more royal family secrets.

RadarOnline reports that Prince Harry is planning to produce a movie about his late mother. The project is reportedly set for release in 2027, which marks the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death in 1997.
Royal experts cited by the outlet say that Prince William believes the Sussexes are motivated by money. Furthermore, he also suspects that Harry and Meghan see this as a way of exploiting the royal family for cash. The film appears to revive memories of Harry’s 2023 memoir, “Spare,” and the controversies that came along with it. “William fears the movie will reveal even more secrets about the royal family,” one insider told the outlet.
The same insider claimed that William was angry when King Charles welcomed Harry and his family back to England in August. As a result, the source alleged, William plans to shut his brother out once he takes the throne. Harry, the insider said, “will become persona non grata in the U.K.”
Another source described the film as “a line that can’t be uncrossed” for William. Insiders add that he could be angrier still if the Sussexes took the project to Netflix. They point to the series, “The Crown”, and its controversial portrayal of the royal family.
Similarly, royal expert Hilary Fordwich says King Charles and Queen Camilla are dreading the project. “Neither the king nor Camilla has any interest in there being a lot of focus on Diana,” she told the outlet.
On the other hand, Harry reportedly sees things differently. According to sources, he considers it his “duty” to honor his mother and believes her story has not yet been told properly. For now, it remains unclear whether William and Harry can resolve their differences.
