Prince Harry might have to choose between his father, King Charles, and his maternal uncle, Charles Spencer. According to a source, the Duke of Sussex has reportedly been forced to make a tough decision. He seemed to understand the situation, but cutting ties with Earl Spencer would be too much for him. For context, Spencer has reportedly irked the royals after releasing his bombshell memoir, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.”

Prince Harry ‘under huge amount of pressure’ to cut ties with Charles Spencer, per source

Prince Harry has reportedly been under immense pressure to cut ties with Charles Spencer for King Charles. According to the National Examiner, the royals seemingly considered Earl Spencer’s new book as a “vengeance” against the monarchy. A source told the outlet that the Duke of Sussex might now be forced to end his relationship with his uncle due to the Diana memoir drama.

It was reported that he is “under a huge amount of pressure” to make a tough call. He allegedly wants to make his father happy, but also distancing himself from Spencer didn’t seem right. “Harry understands their position, but he simply can’t imagine turning his back on his uncle, not after the way [he] and the whole Spencer clan have stood by him,” the insider said.

Furthermore, they claimed that the “Spare” author was seemingly making progress with the monarch. He was likely getting positive results in reconciling with his father. But the Diana memoir has allegedly put the process on hold. The insider said, “The king, and every one of his advisors, is now questioning how trustworthy he can be if he’s so openly aligned with a man that’s trying to sabotage the monarchy.”

According to the source, the palace allegedly believed Spencer went after “the king with a vengeance.” So if Harry didn’t cut ties, they might believe he was also behind “this attack on his own father.”
