The exchange gave the red carpet a surprisingly organized rhythm. Hathaway smiled, adjusted her pose and moved through the photo calls without appearing rushed.
The actor attended the event while promoting Verity, the psychological thriller based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. She stars as Verity Crawford, while Dakota Johnson plays writer Lowen Ashleigh. Josh Hartnett also appears as Jeremy Crawford.
Hathaway wore a black lace mermaid-style gown for the Verity premiere. People reported that the look came from Prabal Gurung’s atelier and featured a sheer cape.
Johnson also drew attention on the carpet in a white Calvin Klein look.
