Prince Harry’s Invictus Games Might Have Been Saved by Kris Jenner — Source

An insider claimed that Kris Jenner helped Prince Harry secure a sponsorship from Amazon for the 2027 Invictus Games. According to the source, Meghan Markle is a close friend of Jenner and is also part of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wider social circle. The insider added that Sánchez understands the value of financially supporting major cultural events.

Sources say Prince Harry’s Invictus Games got Amazon deal because of Kris Jenner

A source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that Kris Jenner is close to Meghan Markle and has also become part of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s social circle. “Kris didn’t just know both sides—she had their trust. Meghan needed help. Kris had Lauren’s ear, and Lauren had Jeff’s. One conversation led to another, and suddenly Amazon was at the table,” it said.

The insider claimed that while the sponsorship represented a different type of investment for Bezos, it could be transformative for the Invictus Games. They added, “This is classic Kris Jenner. She knows who needs what—and exactly who can deliver it.”

According to the source, Markle was looking for a major financial sponsor and a powerful partner, while Jenner knew exactly whom to approach. Insiders also claimed that the 2027 Invictus Games needed £20 million to cover its costs. However, reports have suggested that Bezos ultimately made only a small contribution.

The claims come days after Prince Harry made his first official UK appearance. The Duke of Sussex attended the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner & Awards at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, without Markle by his side.

During the event, Harry was asked about his return to the UK. Speaking to PEOPLE, he said, “Good. It’s good to be back on British soil.” For the occasion, Harry wore a black tuxedo with a bow tie and military medals displayed near his suit pocket. He also wore a Royal Victorian Order medal beneath the bow tie.
