What to expect from Evil Dead Burn’s new nightmare
Evil Dead Burn serves as a sequel to the 2023 movie Evil Dead Rise and the sixth installment overall in the Evil Dead film series. Following its theatrical release on July 10, the movie has divided fans with its ruthless storyline involving a grieving family.
“Evil Dead Burn unleashes the franchise’s most savage and terrifying ride to date with an all-new chapter of carnage and demonic mayhem,” the movie’s official logline reads. “After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites—turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell—she comes to discover that the vows she took in life live on… even in death.”
The Evil Dead franchise was created by Sam Raimi, the filmmaker behind the original Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire. Each movie in the franchise follows different characters and their encounters with the Deadites. They are demonic entities conjured with the help of a mysterious book of the dead.
Evil Dead Burn stars Souheila Yacoub in the lead as Alice Price. Other members of the Price family are played by Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Erroll Shand, Maude Davey, and George Pullar. The movie also features Greta Van Den Brink, Lara Macgregor, Keanu Karim, and more as additional cast members.
