Meghan Markle garnered attention recently for her first public outing in the UK since the Sussexes’ return in August. She was spotted with Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi. A few days ago, her solo outing in a large SUV near the Cotswolds also raised eyebrows.
Meghan Markle spotted with Ellen DeGeneres in first-ever UK outing
In photos obtained by Page Six, Markle was papped with DeGeneres and her wife, Rossi, at Three Horseshoes near Burford, Oxfordshire. She donned a blue shirt paired with white skinny jeans and sunglasses, while carrying a black jacket in her hand. She was seen “chatting and laughing” with the couple at the venue. Markle also said goodbye to the couple before leaving.
The outing received mixed reactions online, with one user writing: “Swapping bullying tips over tea?” Another user found it ironic that both Markle and the American comedian and actress had been asking for more security and privacy, only for details and photos of them to suddenly start “leaking.”
The user even wondered whether the leaks were intentional, suggesting that the couple might be trying to use them to convince RAVEC to give them the security arrangements they want. A third user penned, “Hanging out with bully Ellen DeGeneres is not a flex, lol.” Other reactions included “Or you mean: ‘The private citizen called the paparazzi,'” and “Narcissists unite.”
Last week, a source told HELLO! Magazine that the Duchess of Sussex was spotted without Harry, driving a large SUV in the Cotswolds. The latest outing also comes just a few days after Buckingham Palace’s guidance letter clarified the Sussexes’ working status. It stated that Markle and Harry are private individuals and that any charitable work they undertake is personal and not associated with the Royal Family.
