Disney Bets on YouTube Giant With 275 Billion Views for New Shows & Streaming Push

Disney has recently signed a deal with a YouTube entity that boasts 275 billion lifetime views and more than 450 million subscribers. The entity owns and operates up to 25 YouTube accounts in 22 languages.

Like Nastya and Disney have entered into a content and development deal. Like Nastya is one of the biggest kids’ channels on YouTube. According to the deal, content will be developed with a younger audience in mind and be distributed on Disney+ and other Disney-owned platforms.

What makes Like Nastya such a valuable Disney partner

The deal between Disney and Like Nastya is not the first of its kind, as the House of Mouse seems to be looking to bet big on some of the biggest content creators in the modern entertainment landscape. Creators on platforms like YouTube and Instagram usually have a steady, reliable metric of interest: followers.

Apart from Like Nastya, the media giant has also signed deals with the likes of Dhar Mann Studios, Gracie’s Corner, and Lenny Pearce. Disney also announced a content-sharing deal with TikTok, which would allow creators to use Disney’s content to make short-form videos and other creative content on the platform.

Particularly with Like Nastya, Disney aims to create content for kids, tweens, teens, and families, which will be distributed on Disney+ and Disney Jr., as well as other appropriate platforms. The deal also empowers Disney to present a curated library of content from the enormous volume of videos generated by the Like Nastya company.

Regarding the deal, Anna Radzinskaia, founder of the brand and the mother of Nastya, stated, “I’m incredibly proud of Anastasiia and how ‘Like Nastya’ has grown into a global brand loved by millions of families worldwide. Bringing together the worlds of ‘Like Nastya’ and Disney is an exciting opportunity to create something truly special for a new generation.”
