They appear focused on their own family’s stability rather than reacting to every Sussex headline. She noted that the royal couple is focusing on their own son. Notably, Prince George “begins an enormous new chapter at Eton.”
According to Schofield, the dynamic between William and Prince Harry has shifted noticeably in recent weeks, and the feud continues. She said William believes that “firmer boundaries” should have been established with Harry and Meghan “much earlier.” He feels no longer inclined to respond to every grievance raised by his brother’s camp. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s abrupt exit from their new prep school just two days into term fits “another cycle of Sussex drama” and “would be viewed as an unwelcome distraction.”
Schofield contrasted William’s approach towards Harry with King Charles’ more emotionally invested approach. She explained that the older brother “can afford to be much more pragmatic.” This is because, in her view, the consequences of Harry’s choices “are now Harry’s responsibility.”
William and Harry’s feud has drawn renewed attention as the Sussexes relocated their children partway through the school term.
