Pierce Brosnan has responded to the news of tension between MobLand cast members. The actor pushed back on rumors of a feud involving his co-star Tom Hardy. Brosnan said the situation does not reflect how the cast works together. His comments come as the series prepares to return for Season 2.
Pierce Brosnan dismisses Tom Hardy feud rumors as ‘MobLand’ returns for Season 2
At the Season 2 premiere in London on Thursday, Sept. 10, Brosnan spoke about the reports. He told the Press Association that the rumors were a “storm in a teacup, really.” Brosnan also made it clear that he has a strong opinion of Hardy. “I love the dude. I love Tom Hardy,” he said.
Brosnan continued by praising Hardy’s work and their relationship on the show. “I’m a massive fan of the man’s work. Truly,” the actor said. He also said the cast and crew of MobLand were “rock solid as a company, as a family.” Brosnan said everyone comes to work, does their job and then returns home to their families.
His comments follow reports from May that Hardy might not return for a possible third season. There had been several reports that he was leaving due to production disagreements. Paramount+ later confirmed in September that MobLand received a Season 3 renewal. The streamer also confirmed that Hardy, Brosnan and Helen Mirren will return.
MobLand first premiered in 2025 and follows the Harrigan crime family. Season 2 follows the family under threat from rivals as they battle to save their already fractured criminal empire. MobLand Season 2 premieres Sept. 18 on Paramount+. Brosnan’s comments offer a clear response to the reports of trouble among the cast.
