Love Island USA star Kenzie Annis attended the New York Fashion Week red carpet despite suffering a health issue hours earlier. She revealed that after touching down in the city, she was immediately rushed to hospital and went to the event directly from there. The reality star disclosed that she had her painful ovarian cyst removed and was on medication to get through the day.
Kenzie Annis’ first NYFW appearance followed an unexpected medical emergency
Annis debuted for the ALICE+OLIVIA show in New York City on Thursday, September 10. She sported a white strapless sequin dress, paired with wavy blonde curls and dewy makeup. A few hours ahead of the event, she was hospitalised, but her enthusiasm to attend NYFW didn’t fade. She told PEOPLE, “I got a stylist today, which was so exciting, but I did just get out of the hospital this morning.”
Annis further added, “So I want to talk to girls and be like, ‘You guys should be getting this looked at and scanned,’ Because I had no idea.” She revealed that she arrived in New York on Monday. After getting off her flight, she was taken in an ambulance to the closest hospital for treatment. She said that despite the health challenge, she desired to come to NYFW as it’s her first fashion show and revealed that she had some pain medication to get through the day.
The reality star also expressed gratitude for the opportunity, citing that she feels blessed to be present at the event. She added, “God works in mysterious ways, and I’m just really happy.”
Recently, Annis and her boyfriend, Dylan Wrona, also announced on Instagram that they are officially dating. The announcement came after the conclusion of Love Island USA Season 8. Wrona asked her to be his girlfriend at the top of the Empire State Building.
