John Travolta and Robert Carlyle are all set to appear in November 1963, a movie that tells the story of the assassination of John F. Kennedy from a different perspective. The trailer dropped a glimpse of what fans might be in for, as it follows the mob and its involvement in the killing.
According to the official synopsis, “NOVEMBER 1963 unfolds in real time across the 48 hours surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, seen from inside the Chicago Outfit rather than from the official record.”

November 1963 explores the JFK assassination from the Chicago Outfit’s perspective
The trailer opens with leadership within the Chicago Outfit detailing how mob backing helped secure Kennedy’s presidential election victory under the assumption that the federal justice system would back off organized crime.
When that agreement falls apart, the Outfit orchestrates a deadly retaliation, culminating in Lee Harvey Oswald executing the plot in Dallas. What follows is an intense manhunt and the internal panic as the mob scrambles to contain the fallout.
John Travolta plays the role of mob boss Johnny Roselli, who was also involved in the plot to assassinate Fidel Castro with the CIA. Carlyle takes on the role of Jack Ruby. The film also stars Dermot Mulroney as Chuckie Nicoletti, Mandy Patinkin as Anthony Accardo, Jefferson White as the assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, and Thomas Fiscella as Sam Giancana, among others.
November 1963 is directed by Roland Joffé and written and co-produced by Nicholas Celozzi. Celozzi, as revealed by People, received the story from his uncle over many years. He said, “What I wrote is what [Pepe] saw, the story of how and why the Outfit made that decision to assassinate the president.”
The producers of the film also include Kevin DeWalt. The film is set to hit theaters on November 20, 2026.
