Jake and Logan Paul are teaming up for a new Hulu TV show, Ruthless. The brothers and YouTube stars will train a new generation of young fighters on the show.
According to Deadline, the Paul brothers have landed a fight competition series on Hulu and ESPN. The series is currently untitled and previously had the working title “Fight Island.” The joint project marks the first time the two Disney-owned platforms have greenlit a series together.
The casting process is reportedly underway, with production expected to begin next year. The series comes from Jake Paul’s MMA promotion company, Most Valuable Promotions, and Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse, which has previously produced Netflix’s Million Dollar Secret and A&E’s Duck Dynasty reboot.
How the competition format turns rivalries into a strategic weapon
Jake and Logan Paul’s upcoming competition series will feature various forms of combat sports. These include MMA, boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, and karate. According to the logline, the series is a “ruthless competition where eliminations are not settled by a vote; they are settled by a fight.”
In the series, the fighters will be split into two rival groups, each coached by one of the Paul brothers. They will train and live together as they prepare to face each other in intense fights.
“But the battle really begins before the fight, because fighters choose the matchups, turning every alliance, every rivalry into a strategic weapon. Jake and Logan will send the losers of each fight home until just one man and one woman are left standing to claim victory,” the logline states.
Both Jake and Logan Paul began their career as YouTube stars before transitioning into the world of fighting. In 2024, Jake defeated Mike Tyson in a fight, which was streamed globally on Netflix. Additionally, Logan had an exhibition boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2020. He also briefly held the United States Championship in WWE.
