Donald Trump has reportedly faced less pushback from his own White House aides. Several insiders said advisers no longer try to change his mind. They reportedly see challenging the president as increasingly futile. The shift comes as Trump continues shaping his administration around his own instincts.

White House aides reportedly no longer try to change Donald Trump’s mind on major decisions they disagree with

Top White House officials and Republican lawmakers reportedly shared the same private assessment. According to Axios, they no longer try to persuade Trump on major decisions. One longtime adviser summarized the attitude bluntly.

“Why bother?” the adviser reportedly said. “He’s the boss.”

Axios reported that many aides have become worn down by Trump. Some reportedly believe they cannot stop him from pursuing his preferred decisions. Instead, they increasingly choose to humor his ideas and impulses.

The shift reportedly reflects changing confidence among some Republicans. For years, party members accepted Trump’s demands and defended his political instincts. Some now reportedly question those instincts but still see little value in pushing back.

One donor who recently met Trump described the situation similarly. “He’s an 80-year-old man who did it his way,” the donor said. “What he wants, he gets.”

The report also highlighted several recent decisions that Trump’s allies have accepted. Those include his approach to foreign policy and the Republican midterm strategy. Trump has also remained heavily involved in plans for the White House.

However, White House insiders disputed the idea that Trump acts on every impulse. They insisted there remains some structure around his decision-making. They did not provide examples of Trump rejecting advice.

The reported resignation comes as Republicans face difficult midterm prospects. Party members have expressed concerns about keeping their House majority. They also remain worried about the Senate.

Trump will become a lame duck after his current term reaches its final stretch. However, one senior adviser warned Republicans against underestimating him. “Discount Trump at your peril,” the adviser said.

The adviser argued that Trump still holds enormous influence. The power extends across the Republican Party, politics, and popular culture. The adviser also predicted Trump would remain influential after leaving office.

“He’s going to remain the dominant political figure even after his term ends,” the adviser said. The comments suggest Trump’s political influence could outlast his presidency. For now, his advisers appear increasingly willing to let him lead his way.
