Donald Trump’s return from New Jersey reportedly took an unusual turn when cameras captured him appearing visibly agitated around Marine One. The president gestured sharply toward the helicopter crew before walking away from the aircraft and heading into his next transfer.
Donald Trump appears frustrated during Marine One arrival
The footage, recorded Monday at Morristown Municipal Airport at about 4:30 p.m., shows Donald Trump talking forcefully with the Marine One pilots after flying from Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. His hands moved repeatedly as he waved and pointed, creating an allegedly tense scene. The video does not reveal what prompted the exchange (via The Daily Beast).
Natalie Harp traveled with Trump, along with White House Communications Adviser Margo Martin. Harp’s presence has drawn heightened attention in recent weeks because of her close working relationship with the president. She serves as Trump’s personal assistant with a taxpayer-funded salary of $150,000 and has reportedly helped shape some of his more unusual posts on Truth Social.
Trump’s return to the White House came after a weekend that had already generated plenty of attention. Following time on the golf course in Bedminster, the president used Truth Social to share a series of unusual AI-generated posts. Among them were fabricated images placing him alongside George Washington and Hulk Hogan, along with posts depicting confrontations with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and an imagined Titanic disaster tied to the Democratic Party.
The unusual online activity carried into the airport scene, where Trump emerged from the plane wearing his blue suit and trademark red MAGA hat. Marines nearby saluted as he walked away, but Trump did not pause to acknowledge them. He instead waved briefly toward reporters before heading to Air Force One for the journey to Joint Base Andrews and, ultimately, the White House.
Trump has continued using Truth Social as a stage for increasingly unusual declarations, including a suggestion that New Mexico become “New America” and the blunt proclamation, “The Moon is Ours.”
